Dental examination and cleaning

The professionals at the clinic recommend an oral examination at least once a year. During this appointment, the dental hygienist will do an oral screening, then proceed with the scaling and polishing of your teeth; the dentist will then perform a dental and oral examination.

Mouth protector

The mouth protector is recommended for all those who practice sports that present a risk of falls or blows such as hockey, in-line skating, martial arts, cycling, boxing, skiing, soccer, etc.

Occlusal plate (bite plate)

Did you know? If someone in your household “grinds” his or her teeth, either during the day or at night, he or she is suffering from bruxism, an ailment that is not to be taken lightly.

Preventive cavity treatments, sealing of pits and fissures

By filling these cavities with a special varnish, pit and fissure sealing prevents bacteria and food from getting into them. Combined with good oral hygiene, pit and fissure sealing offers excellent protection against cavities.

Cavity treatment

The treatment of tooth decay consists of removing the affected part of the tooth. Once the tooth is free of decay, the dentist will be able to offer different solutions to replace the missing part of the tooth.

Root canal treatment

This treatment allows the tooth to be preserved, even if it is no longer alive. Root canal treatment involves devitalizing the tooth by removing the blood vessels and nerves contained in the dental pulp. Once emptied and cleaned, the space is filled with a rubber-like material.

Tooth extraction

While it is recommended that solutions be found to preserve a patient’s natural teeth, there are situations where tooth extraction is a proposed treatment, for instance, to prevent the spread of an infection.

Treatment of periodontal disease

Periodontal disease affects the gum. It is characterized by a destruction of the tissues that support the teeth: the gum, the bone, etc. Even if oral hygiene and regular visits to the dentist allow you to have healthy gum, no one is immune to gum disease.

Dental crown

The prosthetic crown is the solution usually proposed by your dentist when there is very little natural structure left on the tooth to be effectively filled with other materials, without a high risk of possible fracture.

Gum grafting

Sometimes the gums recede (gum recession) due to gum disease (gingivitis or periodontitis), excessive friction, or tooth movement. Some people do not have enough natural gum tissue to protect their teeth. In these cases, the dentists may suggest that you consider periodontal treatment, i.e. gum grafting (also known as gingival grafting).
